I am working on doing a series of short clips using my milky-way time-lapses to animate over the constellations. This is my first attempt. This photo was shot on top of Cadillac Mountain in Maine on July 2019.
Camera Settings: Nikon D3200 2.8 f-stop 11mm lens with a 30 second exposure. I had my intervalometer set to 35 seconds and left the camera for about 2 hours.
This was shot with my Nikon 30mm Lens, 1.4F with a 20 second exposure.
Location: Dicks Lake California, just west of Tahoe.
Time of year: Late June
This was shot with my Nikon 16mm Lens, 2.8F with a 30 second exposure.
Location: Jackman Maine
Time of year: Early July
Location: Routeburn Track New Zealand.
I created a star trail to really showcase the planets southern axis point.
I was also able to capture the southern cross but I’ll need to create another video in order to point it out since the star clusters appear very small with the wide angle lens.
